I take a quick break at the Kelbaker Road summit to put on my winter jacket and scarf in preparation for the downhill ahead

No bees are buzzing around at this location today, as I have occasionally encountered during previous trips.

My cotton T-shirt is a bit moist from the uphill sweating, but doesn't require changing. However, I packed an extra T-shirt in the top of my saddlebags in case I needed to put on a dry one after the climb.
